Registrations are rolling in for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s 8th Annual Women’s Work-Life Symposium. Presented again by Emerald Coast Hospice, the date is set for Friday, May 26, at Florida State University Panama City’s Holley Academic Center. The event is scheduled from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM with a cocktail hour to follow. The event is now SOLD OUT!
At this leading women’s event on the Emerald Coast, over 300 women will have the opportunity to come together for a full day of networking, professional development, and personal growth opportunities. The day will feature powerful speakers addressing topics beneficial to help women maintain a healthy work-life balance. Attendees will hear three inspiring keynote speakers and attend two breakout workshops of their choice.
Our first keynote speaker and Author of Work-Life Reset Fawn Germer will kick off the event with her powerful message, “Work-Life Reset: Forget Balance, It’s All About Choices.” She will help attendees conquer stress, redefine their work and personal lives, and do a total reboot from a life of pressure and disappointment to one of happiness and fulfillment.
Our lunch keynote speaker Amber Rae will be empowering attendees to get out of their comfort zones, tame their inner critic, and step into their creative power. Blending raw and relatable stories with actionable “aha” concepts, attendees will be guided to master their emotional world as they move powerfully in the direction of what matters most. Amber is devoted to unleashing the potential that exists within everyone, and encouraging them to choose wonder over worry.
Our final keynote speaker and Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Rebekah Gregory will be sharing her powerful story of strength and resilience. Rebekah’s story of faith, determination, and surviving the Boston Marathon Bombing is inspirational. Her delivery with her quick wit and contagious optimism is sure to have everyone feeling inspired and ready to make their own life changes. Outlining her popular phrase, “With every new day comes new hope,” she never fails to leave her audience ready to change the world.
The Symposium will also feature a variety of beneficial breakout workshops with an abundance of different takeaway tools for personal, professional, and home life. Each woman will be able to attend two workshops. Registered Dietician and Southern Living Cookbook Author Carolyn O’Neil will share her philosophy on food in her workshop, “The More You Know, The More You Can Eat.” With self-defense and protection being an important priority for women, Carlos Cummings will be providing effective and trusted self-defense education in his workshop, “Protecting My Pretty.” Erica Averion will present “Never Miss a Monday,” encouraging attendees how to successfully turn their “Want To’s” into “Will Do’s.” Laura Bento and Shelly Brown with Good Grit Magazine will discuss what it means to be a “Girl with Grit,” and how an indomitable spirit will get you far. The final breakout workshop will be a paint party hosted by Painting with a Twist.
Attendees will enjoy a gourmet networking breakfast as well as a luncheon. An exhibitor showcase where women will have the opportunity to shop at a variety of unique booths will be featured during the event breaks and continue throughout the event. The day-long event will conclude with an unwinding social hour on the water-front terrace with cocktails, cupcakes, wine, and spirits.
Each woman will also receive the much anticipated Women’s Symposium “swag bag” filled with premium items and a Symposium Journal with information on all speakers, the event, sponsors, and exhibitors. Door prizes and giveaways will be given throughout the day. Register today and treat yourself to an experience that you’ll leave feeling empowered, encouraged, and ready to take on the world!
