Nemours Children’s Health, Community to Celebrate Opening of Panama City’s Only Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The clinic fills a critical access gap in the community as the only maternal-fetal medicine provider within two hours of Panama City.
Expectant mothers in Panama City, Florida, and the surrounding area have a new, convenient option for their prenatal care needs. On Thursday, Aug. 8, medical professionals and community leaders will gather to officially commemorate the grand opening of the Nemours Children’s Health Center for Fetal Care with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Located at 2202 State Ave., Suite 103 in Panama City, the state-of-the-art facility leverages the expertise of maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) and pediatric specialists to provide critical access to high-quality care for mothers-to-be and their unborn children before, during and after birth. Moreover, Nemours Children’s Health Center for Fetal Care is the only provider in the area certified to use advanced clinical technology such as fetal echocardiograms for diagnosis and treatment.
Prior to the opening of the Nemours Children’s Health Center for Fetal Care, women seeking maternal-fetal medicine care had to travel upwards of two hours outside of Panama City to see a specialist.
The media portion of the event will include a ribbon cutting, remarks from leaders and officials and a tour of the facility.
