Schooners Lobster Festival and Tournament has traditionally taken place the 3rd week of September. The event is now moving to the 3rd week of October. Many families and divers have planned their Panama City Beach getaways to coincide with the event. “We want to remind all the divers who participate in the tournament and all our many friends who book their vacations in advance in order to attend Lobster Fest, that the event will be held the third week of October. October will offer cooler temperatures, more reliable weather, and it better accommodates families who need a little more time to adjust to fall school schedules after weeks of summer vacation.” explained Sparky Sparkman, co-owner.
Schooners Lobster Festival and Tournament is the largest in Florida. Divers from all over the country travel to Panama City Beach to compete in the Tournament. The event draws thousands of lobster-lovers who take advantage of the opportunity to visit the sugar white beaches of Panama City Beach.
Lobster Tournament categories include Spiny Lobster, Big 6 and Shovelnose Lobster. Cash prizes total over $10,000. The 2019 Lobster Festival Schedule of Events and Entertainment below:
