Seven Credit Unions to Kick Off Framing of The Credit Union House with “First Swing” Event

Habitat Village, Bay County—The seven local credit unions behind The Credit Union House will officially kick off the framing phase of construction with a special “First Swing” event on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 a.m. The event marks a major milestone in the collaborative effort to build a Habitat for Humanity home for a deserving local family.

During the First Swing, CEOs from each participating credit union will hammer the first nails into the home’s framework, symbolizing the strength of partnership and shared purpose. This build reflects the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, bringing together funding, volunteerism, and leadership in support of safe, affordable housing. The participating credit unions – All In Credit Union, Champions First Credit Union, Hello Credit Union, Innovations Financial Credit Union, Loyalty Credit Union, Panhandle Credit Union,  and Tyndall Federal Credit Union –are working alongside Habitat for Humanity of Bay County to make homeownership possible for a local family. Adding to the significance of the event, the family selected to receive the home will be present for the First Swing, joining credit union leaders and Habitat representatives as construction officially begins. Their presence highlights this project’s purpose to create stability and opportunity right here in Bay County.

Angela Klopf, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Bay County, said, “Habitat is extremely excited to introduce the family and get started on the Credit Union House!”
