Habitat Village, Bay County— Seven local credit unions are joining forces alongside Habitat for Humanity of Bay County to build “The Credit Union House,” a symbol of collaboration and community spirit.
Credit unions are united by the philosophy of “People Helping People,” and this project embodies that mission. Together, they are not only helping to build a house but also investing in the strength and stability of the community.
The participating credit unions – All In Credit Union , Champions First Credit Union, Hello Credit
Union, Innovations Financial Credit Union , Loyalty Credit Union, Panhandle Credit Union, and
Tyndall Federal Credit Union – with support from the Gulf Coast League Chapter of Credit Unions, are contributing funds and volunteer support to make this home a reality for a deserving local family.
“Seven Credit Unions united to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity home is a powerful statement,” said Angela Klopf, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Bay County. “They’ve seen the struggles with a lack of affordable housing. We’re honored to have this partnership to lay a foundation for a safe, stable, and affordable home for a family in need.” Klopf also adds, “This collaboration is truly a reflection of the heart of our mission: to build homes, community, and hope.”
Habitat for Humanity’s work aligns closely with the credit union movement’s belief in improving lives through relationship building and support. To celebrate this partnership and kick off the project, representatives from participating credit unions will present a donation to Habitat for Humanity at the build site on Thursday, October 16th at 10:00 am.
The Credit Union House is more than construction; it’s a demonstration of what can happen when local partners come together to support neighbors and invest in their futures.
